June 10, 1999 - Infobahn Outfitters has acquired two additional DS1 connections to the Internet backbone. The doubling of connections increases total bandwidth to 6 Mb/s. In addition, the new connections to Sprint connect in Chicago, providing an alternate route to the existing DS1s to Des Moines.

October 1998 - Melissa Calhoun of Infobahn Outfitters has been chosen as a technical consultant for the Alliance Library System's latest digitization project, Illinois Alive!. ALS received a National Leadership Grant from the Federal Institute of Museum and Libary Services.
August 1998 - Our Macomb POP (Macomb.com) has been upgraded to fully digital service. Macomb.com is our fourth POP to support v.90 56K modems.

March 15, 1998 - Infobahn Outfitters will soon upgrade the AvonIL.net dialup service. The AvonILnet service opened in November 1997 and was limited to 50 customers. Community interest has prompted us to move to a larger Internet feed (full T1 trunk line) and more modems. The upgrades will provide Internet access for existing and prospective customers. The upgrade is expected to occur within the next six weeks. March 10, 1998 - Infobahn Outfitters will begin providing local call Internet access to the community of Nauvoo, Illinois in April. The Nauvoo & Niota communities have been without local call access for several months following the exodus of a previous Internet service.
