Built by Judge William Kellogg, a personal friend of Abraham Lincoln

1864

William and Caroline Orendorff Parlin purchased the mansion

1927

John L. Murphy bought the mansion and opened the Murphy Memorial Home

1946

Ralph J. Sedgwick purchased the Home

1972

Ralph's son, Richard J. Sedgwick joined the firm

1976

The name was changed to Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home
